Carbide factory crimp die resistance when loaded round enters for crimping

FAQ: When I run a loaded round into the Carbide Factory Crimp Die I get strong resistance to the bullet entering the die. Also when I lower the bullet out of the die I get the same resistance at the same point on the die. Is this normal or should it be a smooth operation with little resistance? If not what could be the problem?

Answer:  You should feel a bump when the cartridge goes into the die and a bump when it comes out. This is normal.
