Factory Crimp Die resistance or bump on the stroke

You will feel some resistance on the press lever as the cartridge enters and leaves the factory crimp die. That is the carbide ring doing the post sizing on the cartridge. The post sizing uniforms the cartridge and guarantees chambering and proper head spacing.

You may send in your factory crimp die to have the carbide ring polished out one or two thousands of an inch. We charge $30.00 for this service plus shipping and it takes two to six weeks. You also need to tell us how much you want the die adjusted.

After this adjustment, we can no longer guarantee that cartridges crimped and sized in this die will fit in a standard chamber firearm.
