To change the primer pin and primer guide in the ram prime, you can use the mechanical advantage built into the press your advantage. Install the primer guide and primer pin that you want to remove according to the instructions, but don't install the shellholder adapter. Raise the ram to the top of its stroke, so the primer guide and primer pin protrude above the top of the press frame. Slide a small open end wrench under the bottom of the primer guide and hold it there while you pull up on the press lever. The wrench will prevent the primer guide and primer pin from retracting through the hole in the press frame, and you should be able to pull the pin and guide out easily with the leverage afforded by the press lever linkage.
