To clean your melting pot, you will need a stiff wire brush or some steel wool to remove any residual lead. You may also want to use a vacuum to remove the fine dust particles.
If you plan to store the melting pot for a period of time, you will need to oil the pot with a long term oil, such as LP3, to prevent rust.
