Peening Mold Block

Reinsert the pin into the mold block, making sure it passes through the hole in the handle tong.  Find a steel pin slightly larger in diameter than the hole in the bottom of the mold block.  Lightly clamp the mold block in a vise, (so you have both hands free). Center the above mentioned pin over the hole in the mold block where you installed the wayward pin, tap on the pin with a heavy hammer until the pin makes an impression in the soft aluminum mold block.  This will displace enough metal to slightly close the hole and prevent the pin from falling out.
