Powder Coating Cast Bullets

For standard cast bullets, you want to select a sizing kit to be .001" larger than groove diameter.
For example, a 9mm has a groove diameter of .356", so you would want to resize the bullet to .357".
However, if you are powder coating bullets, you need to size the bullet down further to compensate for the added thickness the powder coating creates.
We would recommend performing some tests first. To continue using 9mm as an example, we would start sizing bullets down to around .355" before adding the powder coating, and change that diameter depending on how thick the powder coating is. You want the end result to be .001" larger than groove diameter.
