Some brands of primers have a textured finish, especially newer Winchester. This textured finish does not slide freely through bench prime elevator. Applying powdered graphite or mica directly to the elevator floor or dusting the primer tray will allow free feeding of the primers. Powdered mica would be "cleaner" than graphite.
