Please be sure your Carrier is in proper alignment before performing this. A video on how to do this can be found through the following link: https://youtu.be/VjqwHbnS1Og

Remove the primer trough from the press. Orientate the trough so that you are looking at the top of the trough with the chute that the primers slide down pointing to the right. Lift the left end of the case sensor arm off of the little peg on the primer slider at the left end of the trough and rotate the arm around to the right. The spring is located on the front of the trough assembly about half way between the hinge point of the case sensor arm and the hole in the left end of the trough that the primer pin goes through.

Grasp the chute that the primers slide down with your right hand. Place the index finger of your left hand against the left end of the primer trough. Now using the thumb of your left hand bend the free end of the spring to the left until it contacts the trough and release. The spring will not break when you bend it.

When the primer trough is reinstalled in the press the reset spring will push against the screw housing on the back side of the carrier casting at station two. This will cause the entire trough to rotate to the left and remain in contact with the press frame ensuring that the ribs on the frame shake the trough to keep the primers feeding.
