Pro 1000 caliber or cartridge switch

To convert the Pro-1000 from a large caliber to small caliber or a small to large, you may need to convert the following:

1) New Shell Plate/Shell Plate Carrier

• If staying with same primer size, appropriate shell plate = http://leeprecision.com/reloading-presses/progressive-presses/progressive-press-accessories/pro-1000-shell-plate/
• If going to larger or smaller primer size than you'll require a Primer Attachment (90660) = http://leeprecision.com/primer-attachment.html

2) Dies

3) Turret (90497) = http://leeprecision.com/3-hole-turret

4) Powder Measure

• If you are going to load rifle cases with the Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure, you will need a Short Charging Die (90668) or Long Charging Die (90194) and for some loads, it will require the Double Disk Kit (90195).
• For larger rifle cases, greater than 3.10cc capacity, you will need the Auto-Drum Powder measure (90811), and the Short Charging die (90668) for cases .860" to 1.760" long, or the Long Charging die (90194) for cases 1.760" to 2.620" long.

5) Bullet Feed Kit
If you are loading a larger or small diameter cartridge, a new Bullet Feeder and Bullet Seat and Feed Die may also need to be purchased = http://leeprecision.com/reloading-presses/progressive-presses/progressive-press-accessories/bullet-feed-kit/

NOTES:

If the desire is to load 45 ACP or 40 S&W, and you have a "Z" bar on your press, it is necessary to update to the return spring setup= Replace Z bar on Pro 1000 with new style Return Spring (Replaces TR2452A Standard Z Bar and TR2452B Bent Z Bar)

Some 45 ACP brass now have small primer pockets. Do not attempt to load these cases with large primer feed, else explosion and damage to tool is likely to occur.

The 50 AE can be loaded however, the case feeder cannot be used as the large size is too small. It is also necessary to lube the cases as the dies are steel.
