After nearly 40 years we are updating the lock rings on our dies. Easier and more convenient to use, the 1 1/8 hex profile is replaced with a spline drive and the “O” ring groove is undercut to better retain the “O” ring during shipping. The new spline drive surface gives a nice grip to tighten into your press, and we now have a handy wrench available that is compact and makes the new lock rings a delight to use. The
lock ring wrench 90093 is now standard equipment on all Lee presses.
We have exhausted our supply of hex lock rings and have begun an orderly transition to the new style lock rings. It will be well into year 2020 before all sets will sport the new style rings.
